The National Youth Council of Malawi (NYCOM), in collaboration with the Ministry of
Youth and Sports (MoYS) and various stakeholders, is pleased to announce the
upcoming 2025 Malawi National Youth Summit, which will be held from 2nd to 4th July
2025 under the theme: “Harnessing Youth Innovation for Economic
Empowerment and Sustainable Job Creation Towards Malawi 2063.” The
National Youth Summit will be presided over by His Excellency Dr. Lazarus
McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi, and is set to bring
together over 1000 youth leaders, policymakers, development partners, and
stakeholders from across the country. A key highlight of the Summit will be the
Launch of the Youth Innovation Fund (YIF), a national initiative designed to
support innovative youth-led ideas that contribute to Malawi’s development agenda.
The Summit seeks to unlock the potential of youth-led innovation as a driving force for
economic empowerment and sustainable job creation in line with the national Vision,
Malawi 2063. By fostering an ecosystem of creativity, entrepreneurship, and inclusive
policy engagement, the event will empower young Malawians to transform innovative
ideas into viable economic opportunities. Key focus areas include improving access to
financing, land, and skills development, while facilitating multi-stakeholder
collaboration to shape policies that support youth-driven growth. Through this
platform, participants will co-create solutions that position the youth as key
contributors to Malawi’s long-term socio-economic transformation.

EXHIBITIONS, ABSTRACTS AND PRESENTATIONS.
The Organizing Committee is calling for partners and collaborations for the 2025
Malawi National Youth Summit. Collaborators will have an opportunity to influence
youth policy; gain visibility and recognition; network with young leaders, government
officials, development partners, and other stakeholders; and contribute to sustainable
development efforts. Strategic Partners can include government ministries and
agencies, development partners and international organizations, local non
governmental and civil society organisations, private sector companies, educational
institutions, media organizations, and youth-led organizations. Opportunities include
sponsorship of youth participants; showcasing products, services, or programmes that
empower youth; hosting workshops; media partnerships; and co-hosting discussions
or panel sessions.
CALL FOR PARTNERSHIP AND SPONSORSHIPS
The National Youth Council of Malawi is committed to ensuring that youth from diverse
backgrounds across Malawi can attend and participate in the 2025 Malawi National
Youth Summit. As part of this commitment, NYCOM is inviting various institutions and
individuals to partner and collaborate with the Council in supporting the participation
of young people at this transformative event. Supporting the participation of
young people will empower the next generation, ensure inclusive
participation, promote youth development, and provide brand visibility.
Partners who will support the participation of the youth will gain recognition and
engagement with youth leaders, government officials, and development partners, as
well as contribute to the realization of Malawi 2063.
Partnership and Sponsorship Packages:
Interested stakeholders can support the Summit under the categories below or can
contact the Council for a special arrangement. The cost for packages will cover the
costs such as follows:
- Registration Fees for youth leaders: Covering the full cost of conference
participation for youth delegates. - Travel and Accommodation for youth leaders outside Lilongwe:
Ensuring that youth from different regions can attend, particularly those from
rural or hard-to-reach areas. - Meals and Materials: Providing meals, conference materials, and other
necessities for sponsored participants.
- Platinum Partner or Sponsor: MK 30, 000, 000.00
- Number of Sponsored Youth: 40 participants
- Recognition: VIP treatment, 4 summit participant slots for the institution,
prominent acknowledgment in all conference materials, social media mentions
that reach out to millions within Malawi and the global community, and
opportunity to display banners at the event including a free exhibition booth. - Other Benefits: Opportunity for a representative to speak at the event and/or
participate in panel discussions, full branding on event platforms, and VIP
access. Whole year (12 months) acknowledgement by NYCOM of your
institution as a youth responsive brand.
- Gold Partner or Sponsor: MK20,000.000.00
- Number of Sponsored Youth: 25–participants
- Recognition: VIP presence, 2 summit participant slots for the institution,
acknowledgment in conference materials, social media recognition that reaches
to millions, and branding on select event materials including a free exhibition
booth. - Other Benefits: Opportunity for 1 representative to speak in a
panel/presenter, invitation to attend networking events, access to branding on
key conference materials. 6 months acknowledgement by NYCOM of your
institution as a youth responsive brand. You or your organization will also be
given a booth to exhibit at the Summit.
- Silver Partner or Sponsor: MK15, 000, 000. 00
- Number of Sponsored Youth: 20 participants
- Recognition: Mention in conference materials and access to networking
opportunities. 1 summit participant slot for the institution, social media
recognition that reaches to millions, and branding on select event materials
including a free exhibition booth. - Benefits: Opportunity for 1 representative to speak. Branding on conference
publications and materials. 3 months acknowledgement by NYCOM of your
institution as a youth responsive brand. You or your organization will also be
given a booth to exhibit at the Summit.
- Bronze Partner or Sponsor: MK10, 000, 000. 00
- Number of Sponsored Youth: 15 participants
- Recognition: Recognition in conference communications, social media
recognition that reaches to millions, and branding on select event materials
including a free exhibition booth. - Benefits: Opportunity for 1 representative to speak. Opportunity to engage
with youth participants and networking access. 1 month acknowledgement by
NYCOM of your institution as a youth responsive brand. You or your organization
will also be given a booth to exhibit at the Summit.
EXHIBITIONS AND EXHIBITION FEES
The 2025 Malawi National Youth Summit will feature Exhibition Pavilions at which
young entrepreneurs, youth-led and youth serving organizations, private sector
players, and other institutions will showcase their innovative products, services, and
initiatives.
The exhibitions will run from 2nd to 4th July 2025. Exhibitors may include tech hubs and
innovation centres, youth-led agribusinesses, financial institutions, creative arts and
culture, climate action initiatives, and skills development and vocational training
providers. The exhibition space offers exhibitors visibility, networking opportunities,
inspiration, and an opportunity to showcase contributions to the youth development
agenda and Malawi 2063 and its First 10-Year Implementation Plan (MIP-1).

Exhibitors will be required to pay a fee of MWK700, 000.00 to cover for exhibition
space and booth, conference access and meals for 1 (one) person. Any extra person
will attract an addition MWK300,000.00.
NYCOM Affiliates interested in exhibiting at the Summit should contact the Secretariat
for arrangements.
Application Deadline:
The deadline for exhibition applications is Friday, June 20, 2025. Due to limited
space, early registration is encouraged.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The 2025 Malawi National Youth Summit Organizing Committee is inviting abstract
submissions from individuals and organizations passionate about youth development
and innovation in Malawi. This year’s Summit will host high-level discussions and
interactive sessions centred around critical thematic areas including youth-led
innovation and technology; manufacturing and industrialization; mining and natural
resource management; tourism and creative industries; entrepreneurship and access
to finance; agribusiness and agro-processing; education and skills development; youth
in the digital economy; climate action and green jobs; elections, leadership and
governance; youth health and well-being; as well as gender equality and disability
inclusion.
We welcome abstracts from youth, entrepreneurs, creatives, researchers,
policymakers, development practitioners, and private sector actors. Submissions
should present innovative ideas, practical solutions, research findings, or lived
experiences that align with the summit’s focus areas and objectives.

CALL FOR YOUTH DELEGATES
The Organizing Committee of the Summit is currently accepting applications from
Malawian youth who would like to attend the Summit. This call is open to various
categories of youth, such as youth leaders; young professionals; youth entrepreneurs;
youth innovators; youth in arts and creative industries; and primary, secondary, and
tertiary students, who are involved or interested in advancing youth empowerment,
leadership, and development in various spheres of development work in line with the
National Youth Policy, National Youth Council of Malawi Strategic Plan, Malawi 2063
Youth Engagement Strategy, as well as other development frameworks including the
national Vision –Malawi 2063 and its First 10-Year Implementation Plan, African Union
Agenda 2063, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2025 YOUTH IMPACT AND LEADERSHIP
AWARDS
The Organizing Commitee of the 2025 National Youth Summit is excited to announce
the nomination window for the 2025 Youth Impact and Leadership Awards. The
Awards Programme aims to encourage more young people by recognizing and
celebrating the outstanding contributions made by Malawian youth to the betterment
of their communities or the nation. The Awards Ceremony will be conducted during
the 2025 National Youth Summit. The following eight categories are open for
nominations: Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment; Science,
Technology, and Innovation; Ecology and Climate Action; Education and
Skills Development; Health; Sports; Creative Industries; and Humanitarian
Action.
We accept nominations from individuals or groups/organizations, as well as from third
parties. Anyone, even those who are not youth, can nominate a Malawian
youth they think deserves to be celebrated through the Youth Impact and
Leadership Awards.

The success of the National Youth Summit depends on collaboration with various
