NYCOM CEO Engages MACODA

28 May, 2026- As part of ongoing efforts to promote inclusive youth development and strengthen collaboration, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Council of Malawi (NYCOM), Rhoda Gadama Misomali held an engagement meeting with the Malawi Council for Disability Affairs (MACODA) at MACODA offices in Blantyre.

The meeting focused on exploring and establishing strategic areas of collaboration between the two institutions to advance inclusive youth empowerment initiatives, particularly for young people living with disabilities.

During the discussions, both institutions underscored the importance of coordinated and inclusive approaches in youth development programming. The engagement further highlighted the need for stronger institutional partnerships that can enhance participation of young people living with disabilities in national empowerment opportunities, including the Youth Innovation Fund.

Through this engagement, NYCOM and MACODA will establish a partnership framework aimed at promoting disability inclusion across youth development initiatives and national programming. This collaboration will strengthen coordinated efforts to expand access to opportunities for young people living with disabilities, enhance information sharing between the institutions, and promote collaborative responses to issues affecting people living with disabilities.

The engagement reflects NYCOM’s continued commitment to fostering inclusive partnerships that ensure young people living with disabilities are meaningfully integrated into national development and empowerment programmes.
